Biomimetic Atmospheric Water Generator Project Introduction In face of the global water shortages, our team has developed a proprietary patent pending atmospheric water collecting system that extracts moisture from air and provides more fresh water. Our air to water machine differentiates itself from other air to water machines in the following features: (1) it will produce 50% more water under the same ambient weather conditions and power consumption constant; (2) No air compressor; (3) Use of semi-conductor refrigeration instead of chemical refrigerants. Our core competitive advantages lie in our team’s expertise in polymer physics and ability to develop, inspired by Stenocara beetle in Namib Desert, new condenser surfaces with features that are both super-hydrophilic (water-loving) and super-hydrophobic (water-repelling). This technical breakthrough in surface chemistry has enabled us to significantly improve the efficiency of a traditional condensation, resulting in non-toxic, long-lasting and environment friendly water collecting technology. What’s more, our solutions combine state-of-the-art scientific advances in semiconductor cooling with innovative engineering designs of system automation to efficiently produce more water from air without increasing much operating cost, as ours is powered by solar energy. As a result, we promote environmental sustainability as well as keep cost at minimum level. Our immediate target market will be businesses in arid areas that have easy access to clean energy resources but difficult access to water. Our ambitious long-term goal is to allow mankind to drink only atmospheric water, the purest water resource in the world. Our mission is to become the leading player in commercial atmospheric water generation and make air water the most accessible potable water resource. Water as an investment sector boasts of a $460 billion global market. To compete with others and make our growth sustainable, we will customize our products, make constant technical innovations, re-engineer existing works to reduce cost while increasing water output, and expand to add contracted water resource management business. Funding Requirement: US$100,000 is needed to complete the building of a machine prototype.
